New Guidelines for Parole Applications under the Keeping Families Together Policy

Under the recently implemented Keeping Families Together policy, effective from August 19, 2024, U.S. spouses are now eligible to submit parole applications Form I-131F. However, these new rules do not apply to spouses or stepchildren of lawful permanent residents.


Eligibility Criteria:

  • You must be the spouse of a U.S. citizen.
  • You must have been physically present in the United States since June 17, 2014, and up to the date of filing.
  • Your marriage to the U.S. citizen must have occurred on or before June 17, 2024.
  • You must not have any disqualifying criminal history and should not be considered a threat to public safety, national security, or border security.
